Redevelopment Approval Process

1. Pre-Application Conference – Developer brings initial concepts before the Planning & Economic Development Commission (PEDC). Completed on May 19, 2015.

2. Preliminary Plan Presentation & Public Hearing on Preliminary Plan – Developer files application for preliminary plan review by Village staff and consultants. A public hearing is held by the PEDC after the preliminary plan presentation. The PEDC reports its findings and recommendations to the Village Board. Completed on July 14, 2015.

3. Committee of the Whole Reviews – The Committee of the Whole reviews PEDC recommendations and provides comments back to the developer related to the project. Completed on August 6, 2015.

4. Board Action on Preliminary Plan – The Village Board acts on the revised preliminary plans. This could include placing additional conditions on the development or requesting changes to the proposed plan. Completed on August 20, 2015.

5. Final Plans – Final plans for each phase of the development will be reviewed and approved as each phase of construction approaches. These plans are reviewed by the PEDC, which takes action on the final plans.
