Village Launches New Website and Service Request System

The Village is pleased to announce an update to its digital presence, with a new website and request for service system. Both the previous website and request for service system had been in place for over nine years, and have been replaced with ones that make content easier to find, and that will allow staff to respond more quickly and accurately to resident requests.

On the website, a more robust calendar feature that allows users to categorize by meetings or events. It will also allow users to choose what type of email notifications that you receive, such as Village news, emergency alerts, Village Board meeting agendas, event information, etc. The central change is the website focuses on the search feature, which should do a much better job directing users to exactly the content they want.
As far as the request for service system, residents will have the ability to track the progress of their request until the issue is resolved. Staff will have the ability to communicate directly with the resident through the open request and provide status updates as needed.

Village President Marc McLaughlin stated, “In an effort to keep our residents and business owners informed, the Board knew we needed to bring our website and request for service system up to date. It’s important that our residents can easily access information related to all Village services.  These changes will make that happen.”
